A test kitchen, not a restaurant

This is brand new for us. We're not running a restaurant, just a small personal test kitchen on the farm where we cook our favorite ways to enjoy what we grow. The menu shifts day to day with whatever's freshest, and mushrooms are always at the center of the plate.

Before you visit

Earthling is a working mushroom farm, so your tour and lunch happen right in the middle of production. A few things to know:

  • You'll be dining among the mushrooms while our team continues daily tasks
  • Expect some background activity: equipment hum, movement, the occasional clatter
  • Seating is either our air-conditioned front shop or in front of the grow room (no AC, but closest to the mushrooms), assigned based on timing and the day's flow
  • You may share the tour and seating with other small parties, depending on group size and timing. We see it as a lunch-club kind of thing, a chance to meet other people who are curious about mushrooms and food.
  • Dress comfortably

It's a little less polished than a restaurant. That's the point. You're eating where the food is grown.

How the visit goes

a typical visit, start to finish

1

BOOK AHEAD

Pick an option, a day, a time. We're open Thursday through Monday, 10am to 5pm. Tours and lunch need to be booked in advance.

2

TOUR THE FARM

About 30 to 45 minutes walking through the grow rooms with someone from the team, in Thai or English. Both options include the tour.

3

EAT

Skewer-tasting guests try three mushroom varieties right on the farm. Food-experience guests sit down for five or six dishes, family-style.

Walk-ins are welcome to our shop, but we can't guarantee tour or lunch availability without advance booking.
It's a working farm. Expect some equipment noise, and a few grow rooms may be closed off during sensitive stages.
